The staff were very friendly and helpful. At first we thought we were staying above the pub, but we were very surprised that we were in the adjoining building with no noise from the pub whatsoever. Obviously, there was traffic as we were right in the middle of the city. Unfortunately, the day/night was very warm and humid, and we had the windows open, although there were fans available for use. We stayed in the family room, which had two separate bedrooms with double beds in each. Plenty of space for us all, especially as we had 2 teenagers! We will definitely recommend the Albert 😊

Catherine

Room was small but everything we needed. just steps from the train and bus stations as well as the central area. But the real selling point was the fantastic little pub and the service we got from Ben. And the food was the best we have had in the UK!! We had the tapas (3 for 12£) thinking we would also order one of the yummy looking pizzas. No need. The tapas were large and fantastic. Very fresh and presented beautifully. Breakfast was perfect as well. Fresh avocado and salmon on toast. We would love to come back and spend more time in this charming little town.

The staff were super friendly, location was great, being able to come back to the bar after an evening in town was nice as well and watching Alice do cocktails and the security door staff remembering us made us feel at home and relaxed. The bar was so busy in the daytime with it being good weather and I was concerned it may be rowdy in the evening and it wasn't at all, and if we had of wanted to go back to the room (adjacent to beer garden) it would have been no problem. All good here, also breakfast was fab 😀 would definitely return and recommend.x

We were very happy with our stay at The Alb. It is literally just around the corner from the train station and right at the heart of the city for doing activities. As a family, we had the quadruple room, which was more like a small flat compromised of 2 separate bedrooms and the bathroom, so we had privacy from our child, which was nice. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The inclusive breakfast in the morning was delicious. We'd definitely stay again if travelling through Shrewsbury.

Elizabeth

Rooms were spotlessly clean. Host was excellent and thoughtfull. We had the ground floor room overlooking beer garden and were advised on check in that the beer garden would be closed at 9.30pm to ensure our comfort - and it was. Very thoughtful gesture and very much appreciated. Coffee tea etc. in room was plentiful.
